love bugs

these bugs are all over florida, drive about half an hour thru the road, and u will have about 20 of them in ur windscreen, squashed with bug juice all over the place. Most of them die while having sex. Good life ah.

week 2

so here i am using a 56k dial up modem. So slow it took me 3 mins to get to blogger.com. Bloody wireless internet at the resort has been down for the past 2 days. Hope they din took it out permanently or else i really will be cut off frm the rest of the world.

Been working so far for about 1 week plus, the reality of my trash throwing career here has sinked in, guess we all finally accepted the job scope. Just yesterday, we cleared all the trash bins and threw them into a rubbish compacter. And when we are done with it, this lady came back telling us someone accidentally threw her GUCCI wallet, with 400 bucks, travellers cheque, money for the whole holiday trip in it into one of the bins! So guess wat, we had to go back the rubbish dumped, opened up all the trash,( inside is mostly unfinished food, chickens, hams, beer, sodas, sauages, cakes... u get the picture) yup so we dig thru all the nonsense and thankfully we found it after digging thry countless juicy trash bags. Somehow we found a sense of satisfaction from the one thing we hated the most.. trash.. but too all the fellow singaporeans they were jus kinda disgusted by the fact we had to dig thru trash. I guess all of them got the "bettter"jobs. Well i am always unlucky right...

We finally visited the seaworld as a guest, i would say its a great theme park for the family, to see the killer whales do all the stunts, to see the trainer and the bond btw the dolphins. reminds me of my kanine unit days.
Also i visited my 1st beach in florida, clearwater beach. I have to say its quite a disappiountment, maybe we chose the wrong beach? but pple where jus hanging ard, enjoying the sun, wading ard in the water. Aint as happening as i expected it to be.. haha..

haven really talk to laur for the past few days, since of the time difference, i can onli call her in my morning, which most of the time i would be working. I miss her.. i guess space really do makes the heart fonder... but how much can it stand against the test of time, esp such a youing relationship.. i really dunno.. i dun even get to msg her much.

Well, i wish i could post more pics.. but its really impossible to upload at this speed. the photo above took 5 mins to upload. haha..
Beginning to miss home... chinese food.. bahkwa... i guess this is where the emptiness phase sets in..

Finally we have started work for our 1st day already. We had so much fun here the past week we almost forgot we are here to work. Job so far has been sucky , includes sweeping floor, clearing tables and clearing trash! Makes me rethink why i paid 4K to come here to go this. But due to the lack of above 21 peeps, we are most prob going to upgraded to bartenders!

For your info, seaworld and many theme parks are own by anhauser busch, some huge beer company that owns budweiser and many others, so they give out free beer at seaworld. The place i working at is the place where the beers are being given out.

Finally life here is great, people are warm and frendly, nothing like singapore, they will greet you everywhere and always say you're welcome when u say thank you. Weather is fantastic so far, heard its going to get real bad when summer hits, its in the end of spring now. Tonnes of flies flying everywhere. And i miss you babe.
